Brushwork is a modern map editor for Source 1 engine games (Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike: Source, Team Fortress 2, Portal). Written in C++20 and Qt 6.5+ with a native Vulkan 1.3 renderer for Linux and Windows.

- Move, rotate, scale, and transform gizmos in the 3D perspective view.
- View orientation widget to align along an axis or orbit around selection.
- Face extrude, move, inset, and bevel.
- Brush creation directly in the 3D viewport.
- Built-in terrain generator.
- Native Vulkan renderer.
- Real-time shaded lighting and skybox preview in the 3D view.
- Image rendering tool with raytracing or shaded mode, exposure control, white balance, and tone grading.
- Native Linux and Windows builds. On Linux, compile tools (
vbsp,vvis,vrad) run through Wine. - Export to OBJ, GLTF 2.0, and MDL.

- Three-point clipping tool.
- Direct displacement vertex editing with the vertex tool.
- Built-in texture conversion to VTF and VMT.

This project does NOT use AI-generated 2D or 3D assets (images, 3D models, 2D art, icons and etc). All icons and other visual materials were either created by me or come from open-source resources. A full list of third-party assets is provided below in CREDITS section and is also available in the program under the "Help -> About Brushwork" section.
This software is NOT a product of vibe coding. AI-assisted tools were used only as an additional help and aid during code development.
